Carmel School, Peyad celebrated the 70th Republic Day of India with pomp and zeal in the school. All the students assembled on the school ground at 7:30 am.The principal unfurled the national flag. This was followed by our National Anthem sung by the school choir. Then the series of speeches started. Rev.Sr.Gracelyn, the Principal addressed the gathering. She emphasized the need for student participation in Games and sports. She also reminded us of the struggles of our freedom fighters and paid tribute to them. The programme ended with the distribution of sweets.
